Nyepi Day – A Unique Balinese Experience

Nyepi Day, known as the Balinese Day of Silence, is a sacred and unique cultural event that offers a profound and tranquil experience in the heart of Bali. Celebrated with silence, self-reflection, and community rituals, Nyepi Day provides an opportunity for both locals and visitors to embrace serenity and connect with the spiritual essence of Balinese culture.
NYEPI in Bali is the commemoration of the Bali New Year, which will fall on March 11, 2024.
Starting the day before Nyepi, there is an ogoh – ogoh festival which is enlivened by a parade of giant statues paraded by village youths around the street.

There are four main rules of Nyepi, called Catur Brata Penyepian, (Catur means four, Brata means meditation and Penyepian literally means to be silent).

Catur Brata Penyepian :

Amati Geni: no fire and light,
Amati Karya: no working,
Amati Lelungan: no traveling,
Amati Lelanguan: no entertainment.

NYEPI starts at 6 am and lasts for 24 hours. You are not allowed to leave the hotel, therefore our restaurant provides breakfast, lunch and dinner, which can be purchased with a variety of menus and the pool bar is open all day.
